RESILIENT MATERiALS 4 LIFE 2020
20-23 September 2021
Churchill College, Cambridge – UK
We are proud to welcome you to the Resilient Materials 4 Life 2020 (RM4L2020) International Conference on smart biomimetic infrastructure materials.
NEWS: Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the RM4L 2020 International Conference that was due to be held on the 14th to 17th September at Churchill College in Cambridge. While we all hope that the current crisis will have eased by then, we are very aware that it is very difficult at the moment to make any arrangements and travel plans for that time and that a number of conferences that had previously been scheduled over the summer months have themselves been postponed to that part of the year. As such, we feel that the best course of action to maintain the quality, impact and reach of RM4L 2020 is to postpone it until the 20-23rd September 2021. [Prof Robert Lark, Conference Chair]

Welcome and invitation
Inspired by the ongoing EPSRC-funded RM4L programme grant, the conference brings together relevant aspects of innovative research on cementitious infrastructure materials used in civil engineering applications and provides a forum for the exchange of materials’ research more generally. The conference will encompass research on innovative, intelligent and autonomous infrastructure materials and their use in a range of geotechnical, structural and construction engineering applications.
Furthermore other researchers, academics, scientists, students, engineers, architects, contractors, concrete producers, public works officials, material suppliers and construction industry professionals are invited to discuss and present their latest findings on the following four strategic themes: biomimetic materials, materials sensing and diagnostics, multi-functional materials and intelligent materials.
