On 11-15 June 2018, RM4L researchers attended the joint 6th European Conference on Computational Mechanics and 7th European Conference on Computational Fluid Dynamics. The conference was held in Glasgow and was hosted by the universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Prof Tony Jefferson gave a keynote lecture: “A numerical approach for simulating damage, healing and capillary flow in cementitious materials“, in the mini-symposium –Computational Mechanics of Concrete and Concrete Structures – A symposium in Memory of Nenad Bicanic.

Dr Brubeck Freeman presented his latest research: “Modelling coupled continuum-discrete flow of a healing agent in cementitious materials, in a session dedicated to Numerical simulation of self-healing processes in cementitious materials.

Dr Iulia Mihai gave a presentation title: “Micromechanics based modelling of fibre reinforced cementitious composites“, in a session of Computational modelling of damage and fracture.
